In times gone by, Titan poker did not really rate too well but there have been some major changes that have pushed it up to our number one spot. The changes are still continuing and it will soon also be undergoing a complete face lift and getting a new look and feel. All in all, this is now a site that's well worth joining.
General Information
Titan Poker is a member of the iPoker network of sites and as such is similar in strengths, weaknesses, and just about everything else to Noble Poker and CD Poker (among others). There are not such a wide range of different games as many sites but as we at Harlequin focus on Texas Holdem it suits our needs just fine. Both Limit and No Limit games start at just $0.02/$0.04 but on the down side there is not much high stakes action here with the highest Limit games being $50/$100 and the highest no-Limit games being just $25/$50. There is also a very good selection of low buy-in tournaments and sit-and-goes. There is not so much multi table action.
Plus Points
Titan is perhaps the best in the business at creating interesting and innovative promotions. A good example is their ‘Jackpot Sit-and-Go’ where huge prizes can be won winning as little as three sit-and-go's in a row, This focus on promotions is a common thread throughout their game selection, with prizes and bonuses of every sort including ‘Bad Beat’ and ‘Best Hand of the Day’ bonuses so your four aces may well win the hand but you may be in for a nice surprise when it turns out to be the best hand of the day and you bank an extra $100.
Titan does a lot of advertising and attracts a good number of fresh fish. They stay with Titan because of the large range of very small stakes games so there is planty of fishing to do here. Of course it’s a slow process taking their money at these stakes but it's easy to pick them off in the low buy-in tournaments where a good player can find himself at the final table a high percentage of the time.
One place at which weaker players can be found in a more evenly distributed way is at tournament tables. The array of cheap sit-and-go’s, as well as daily tournaments, draws many novices and are therefore usually very winnable. Of course, many of the better players at Titan have also realized this and some care must therefore be taken not to rush headlong into traps. ‘Jackpot’ games are a very good example of this since large prizes can be won for very little.
User Interface
The graphics at Titan are good and it’s a pretty user friendly interface. For example, unlike many other sites, you do not need to go hunting to find information on your remaining bankroll as it is posted in the main lobby.
Table graphics are pretty good and its nice that you can customise it to some extent - you can choose from ten different avatars, for instance.
Major Strengths
Another big plus is that the bonuses at Titan are not too difficult to clear, so you can amass the required number of points quite fast.
Customer service is another reason why Titan has topped our list. It is simply the best in the business. Upon joining a chat box will open with a live support person asking you if you have any questions. Support is always this easily reacheable, friendly and efficient. The best Customer service we have encountered, without question.

Talking Money
For ring game rake fees, they will always range between 0% and 5%, not to exceed $3 per pot. If a hand ends before the Flop, no rake is applied.
In addition to standard credit card deposits, the Titan Poker Cashier accepts a variety of credit card alternatives - most of which can be used to make deposits and receive withdrawals. There is always the option of receiving winnings via checks through certified mail (although this can take considerably longer). Accepted fund transfer methods include:
Currencies accepted are U.S. Dollars, Euros and Pounds,
So if you do not play constantly on really high stakes tables then Titan Poker is an excellent addition to your list of poker rooms and it is perhaps the very best for new players to cut their poker teeth.
See you there!

IMPORTANT NOTE: The main problem with Titan was always that tournament times were not geared towards European players. We just got notified that Titan has completely changed this -most likely as a response to US legislation which means fewer US players are allowed to play so they are having to shift their emphasis- all times on Titan are now GMT times rather than EST (Eastern Standard Time).
